Who can become an FEBIS Member?

Membership of Federation of Business Information Services (FEBIS) is open to:

1. Eligible Organizations

Natural and legal persons as well as companies without legal personality, such as:

  • Providers of economic information
  • Providers of other credit information systems
  • Database service providers for economic information
  • Industry-related software manufacturers/vendors
  • Collection service providers
  • Factoring service providers
  • Credit insurers
  • Any other related company
  • Industry association of a related nature

2. Membership Requirements

To be admitted as a member of FEBIS, the following conditions are required:

  • Perform an activity in accordance with eligible organizations listed above
  • Recognize the statutes and decisions of FEBIS
  • Keep an orderly financial situation
  • Have a well-reputed management
  • Meet registration obligation
  • Compliance with the provisions must, as far as possible, be demonstrated by presenting the appropriate documents

Admission Process

The Board of Directors decides on the admission of new members. In exceptional cases, the Board of Directors may also accept new members if the requirement regarding well-reputed management is not fulfilled.

Appeal Process

In the event of refusal, the applicant is entitled to call the Annual General Meeting, which can then decide on admission by a simple majority.

Membership Fees & Application

Fees Structure

  • Membership fees are charged annually and calculated based on the turnover of the member
  • Fees cover the period of a natural year, January to December
  • FEBIS Membership does not require yearly renewals - it runs until duly notified cancellation becomes effective

Application Process

  • All applications for membership are reviewed by FEBIS Executive Board
  • Majority support from the Executive Board is required for an application to go ahead
  • By signing the Membership application, members acknowledge their rights and obligations, including observing required termination periods
